The G.I. Go Fund and the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce will host its third annual Jeans for Troops Fundraising Drive in honor of Memorial Day.

Entries sought for Senior Poets Laureate

Entries are being accepted in the 20th annual National Senior Poets Laureate Poetry Competition for American poets age 50 and older.

A laureate poet will be named for each state and territory represented, and the writers of the two best laureate poems will receive the National Senior Poet Laureate Award ($500) and National Senior Poet Laureate Runner-up Award ($100).

• The Jackson Jaguar Marching Band Parents Association will host an art/gift basket auction May 18 at the Jackson Mills Fire Company, 465 N. County Line Road, Jackson. Preview will be at 6 p.m., auction at 7 p.m. Proceeds will be used to offset the cost of the band’s trip to California to march in the 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade.
