Proposed zoning changes will affect all Howell property owners

Slowing development in Howell is a critical issue, however, downzoning parts of north Howell is not the answer. Just the threat of it is pressuring more and more property owners to sell every week.

Don’t be fooled; the zoning change will affect every property in north Howell and eventually all of Howell, not just farmers.

The farmers that are left are trying very hard to survive. It seems very strange that the Township Council won’t meet with the farmers or the Farmers Advisory Committee to try to come up with a viable solution to helping them.

The farmers and property owners are feeling more frustrated, unwanted and disliked by the town. Why don’t the council and leaders support, encourage and work with them?

It is very important that you attend the Sept. 10 meeting at town hall to find out how this will affect you, your neighbors and your farmer friends.

If the people of Howell will work with the property owners, we can try to save the open space without devaluing the large property owners, and devaluing and restricting the rest of the property owners.
