Two Republicans are running unopposed for two three-year seats on the Plumsted Township Committee in the Nov. 6 election. Committeeman Ken Francis is seeking his fifth term on the governing body. Committeewoman Ada Roberts, who was appointed to the governing body in June following the death of her husband, Committeeman Mike Roberts, on May 28, is seeking her first term.

Lakewood’s annual Halloween Fun Festival for Lakewood children took place on Oct. 20 at Pine Park. The event was sponsored by the Lakewood Township Special Events Committee in cooperation with the Lakewood Community School and the Lakewood High School P.A.L.S. and R.O.T.C. programs.

Following are the winners of the children’s Halloween costume contest:
