           Jon Kalnas is traveling where no other Monmouth University track and field athlete has ventured. The senior, from Paulsboro High School, attained all-American recognition for the second straight year at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships, held in Fayetteville, Ark., March 8-10.

           On March 13, Bob "Red" Pasciuto of Lakewood was the first person to be inducted into the Belmar Recreation Hall of Fame. Pasciuto grew up in Belmar, participating in the recreation baseball and basketball programs. At the age of 16, he was the youngest manager of a Belmar Little League team. After playing three sports in high school, Pasciuto continued coaching in Belmar. He was a leading player on the Belmar Dell Royals, was head coach of the Belmar Pop Warner football program, and both managed and played for the Belmar Merchants of the Jersey Shore Basketball League.
