      The following are the results of the opening day Westlake Ladies Golf Association scramble: In first place, with a score of 71, was the team of Pat Hannisch, Pat Wilson, Kit Davis and Pat Hanlon. In second place, with a score of 76, was the team of Flo Kangos, Liz Dubroff, Terry Iannelli and Sheila Cohen. In third place, with a score of 77, was the team of Diane Leary, Carolyn Osnato, Linda Burnett and Aileen Kershner. In fourth, with a score of 78, was the team of Sylvia Cohen, Nancy Molee, Karen Shupper and Annette Brenner.

      Georgian Court College, Lakewood, will hold a basketball camp for girls in grades 3-7, July 8-12, and for girls in grades 8-12 on July 22-26. All sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $200 and includes all coaching and playing, cafeteria-style lunches, a camp T-shirt and swimming pool privileges. No experience necessary.       The Lakewood BlueClaws, the A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, will host Autism Awareness Day. The event will take place April 27 when the BlueClaws take on the Charleston RiverDogs at 1:05 p.m. Pregame ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m. The National Baseball Hall of Fame is honoring the event by providing free passes to the museum in Cooperstown, N.Y., to the first 2,000 children age 16 and under who come to FirstEnergy Park on that day. As part of the festivities, the BlueClaws will provide free admission to an autistic child with the advance purchase of a regular admission ticket by the child’s parent or guardian. Families with autistic children who are interested in attending are asked to phone Mr. or Mrs. Jones at (800) 340-7656.

      The Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting a summer staff. Sports camp leaders are needed as well as tennis instructors.       The seventh annual Georgian Court College Golf Classic, sponsored by Commerce Bank/Commerce National Insurance, will be held on April 29 at the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle.       Entry fee plus sponsorship per individual player is $600. Entry fee plus tee sponsorship for a foursome is $1,700. The event is limited to 124 people. The fee includes a barbecue lunch, use of the driving range for one hour before the shotgun start, greens fees, golf cart, premium golf shoes and a Tiffany mug as a thank you from the college. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11 a.m. Shotgun start is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. A cocktail reception with open bar begins at 6 p.m. A gourmet buffet dinner and the awards presentation will conclude the day at 7 p.m. There will also be a silent auction of golf memorabilia.
