MICHAEL TROTTA, 72, of Old Bridge, died May 10 in The Manor, Freehold. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Kelly Trotta; two daughters, Michelle Chrzanowski of Jackson and Rose-mary Kish of Piscataway; two brothers, Anthony Trotta of Old Forge, Pa., and Frank Trotta of Delaware; three sisters, Mary Lugin, Raffalena Borini and Gemma Trotta, all of Old Forge; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. PATRICIA GIADUTSKY, 64, of Jackson, died May 15 at home. Born in New York City, she lived in The Bronx, N.Y., before moving to Jackson 42 years ago. She worked for the U.S. government. She was a member of St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church in Jackson. She held several positions at Rova Farms, Jackson, and was a member of the Jackson Seniors Who Care. She was on the board of directors of St. Vladimir’s Cemetery; and was a member of the Jackson Senior Center, Russian Mutual Aid Society, and a past president of the Pushkin Home Society. She was predeceased by her brother Vincent in 2000. Surviving are an aunt, Josephine Diakow of Elmhurst, N.Y.; and three cousins, Nicholas Diakow of Port Washington, N.Y., Steven Jarymiszyn of Long Island, N.Y., and Philip Jarymiszyn of Virginia. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church, Jackson. Interment was in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Jackson. ANTHONY SABATINO, 59, of Freehold Township, died May 15 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in New York City, he resided in Waldwick before moving to Freehold Township 15 years ago. He was a self-employed investment and insurance broker. He was a communicant of and Eucharistic Minister to hospitals for St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jeanne Romeo Sabatino of Freehold Township; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Brenda Sabatino of Howell, Mark Sabatino of Freehold Township, and Christopher Sabatino of Trenton; his brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Nancy Sabatino of Staten Island, N.Y.; two grandsons; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Entombment was at Forest Green Park Mausoleum, Marlboro. ELIZABETH J. STEVENS, 47, of Jackson, died May 13 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Queens, N.Y., and resided in Metuchen before moving to Jackson more than 20 years ago. Her mother, Jean Elizabeth Ricigliano, died in 1993. Surviving are her father, Wendell of Springhill, Fla.; two brothers, John of Metuchen, and Christopher of Edison; and three nieces. A Mass was offered at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen. Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden. ANNA SHWAHLA, 99, of Howell, died May 7 at home. She was born in Passaic, and had lived in Bayonne before moving to Howell in the 1930s. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. She was a homemaker and owner of a blueberry farm in Howell. She was predeceased by her husband, Steven, in 1986, and her son, Steven, in 2001. Surviving are a son, Paul, of Howell; a daughter, Mary Shwahla of Howell; two sisters, Helen Holland of Lakewood, and Olga Norkus of Manasquan; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church. Interment was in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, South River. EDITH BURKE DEMUTH, 62, of Howell, died May 8 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Manhattan, she moved to New Jersey in 1968 and lived in Manalapan for more than 20 years before moving to Howell three years ago. She graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Manhattan, then she worked as an assistant buyer with B. Altman & Co. In 1980, she became a sales representative for Verizon. She retired in 2001. She was a former president of the Monmouth Heights Swim Club Board of Trustees. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew. Surviving are four sons and a daughter-in-law, Andrew of Freehold, Joseph and Christopher, both of Howell, and William and Tracie of Farmingdale; a daughter, Adrianne of Long Branch; two brothers, Adrian and Frank Burke; and an aunt and uncle, Mimi and Francis Martin. A Mass was offered at St. Gabriel’s Church, Marlboro. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
