JO ANN FILAN, 62, of Whiting, died June 2 at home. Born in Newark, she resided in West Orange, Brick and Middletown prior to moving to Whiting in 1998. She was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Filan in 1995. She is survived by her son, Daniel F. Filan of Hazlet; five daughters, Nancy J. Filan of Jackson, Mary C. Hamernick of Freehold Township, Barbara A. Von Oeson of Ocean Township, Linda J. Filan of Whiting, and Sandra J. Hoagland of Keansburg; her mother, Mary Forrest of Union; two sisters, Roberta Murphy of Maplewood and Diane Liccese of Orland Park, Ill.; and seven grandchildren. A Rite of Committal will be held at C.H.T. Clayton and Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, June 6 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson. Interment will be at Adelphia Cemetery. JAMES MICHAEL LOVE, 39, of Hamilton, died May 31 at his parents’ home in Howell. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he lived in Howell before moving to Hamilton 10 years ago. A 1986 graduate of the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, Mr. Love was an instructor at Johnson Atelier in Mercerville. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Surviving are his parents, John and Rosemary Love; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane Love and Edward Isler of North Salem, N.Y., and Patricia Love and Gregory Gilfeather of Franklin Township; two nieces and one nephew. A memorial service was held at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702. DENNIS A. BORAWSKI, 54, of Old Bridge, died May 22 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He owned and operated Quality Plus Contractors, Old Bridge, for the past six years. Surviving are his wife, Angelina Correnti Borawski; two stepdaughters, Maryann Small and Joanne Cameron, both of Old Bridge; his mother, Annabelle Winter Borawski of Edison; four sisters, Edith Presti of Aberdeen, Deborah Urbanski of Edison, Elyse Revak of Howell and Kim Fasullo of East Brunswick; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. MAUD PILKINGTON BOOTH, of Lake-wood, died May 20 in Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Manchester, England, she lived in East Brunswick before moving to Lakewood seven years ago. She was a retired seamstress. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Booth, in 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Glenys Shagin of Howell; a son, Donald of Jackson; and six grandchildren. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. KATHRYN R. DEEGAN, 92, of Howell, died May 22 at home. Born in New York City, she had lived in North Bergen before moving to the Villages adult community, Howell, in 1973. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold, and a member of the Howell Senior Friendship Club at the Villages. She was a key punch operator for GAF, New York City, for 42 years retiring in 1972. She was predeceased by her brother, Harold F. Deegan, in 1991, and her sister, Margaret M. Deegan in 1993. Surviving are a niece, Pat Forister of Hamilton Square; and three nephews, James and Kevin Deegan, both of Florida, and Harold Deegan of New York. A Mass was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. ANNIE K. BRENNAN LORELLO, 88, of Toms River died May 29 in Atlantic Coast Rehabilitation Center, Lakewood. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, she lived in Jersey City before moving to Toms River. She was predeceased by her sister, Agnes Molloy, in 2001. Surviving are two nieces and a nephew-in-law, Eileen and Paul Eldred of Old Bridge, and Sister Mary Molloy of East Northport, New York. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Sayreville. |
