The Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, will host a performance of the Russian duo Tamara Volskaya and Anatoly Trofimof, June 15 at 3 p.m. The duo will perform a repertoire that ranges from classical to modern jazz, as well as folk music based on Russian, Jewish and American themes. Called the "Paganini of the Domra," Vol-skaya plays the domra, an instrument similar to a small mandolin. Her husband, Trofimof, plays the banyan, the classic Russian accordion. Both are former professors of folk instruments at the Mus-sorgsky State Conservatory in Russia. More ...
