RALPH WENDELL WICKS, 58, of Vineland, died July 28 at home. Born in Rahway, he had lived in Freehold before moving to Vineland six years ago. Mr. Wicks was a plant manager for BiHowie Corp., Franklinville. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-65. He is survived by a son, Ralph R. of Howell; three daughters, Barbara Moore and Karen Barkalow, both of Freehold, and Cynthia Cole of Howell; his parents, Olive and Stanley Wicks Sr. of Dorothy; eight brothers and sisters, Stanley, Leslie, Robert, David, Daniel, Judy, Donna and Doris; and six grandchildren. Interment took place at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown. THERESA C. O’REILLY HAYES, 74, of Monroe, formerly of South River, died July 24 in Morristown Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Jeremiah, died in 1995. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Brzozowski of Howell and Laura Hayes of Highland Park; a sister, Rosemarie Papan of Kissimmee, Fla.; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. PHILIP P. COYLE JR., 37, of Howell, died Aug. 3 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Coyle was born in Wayne, Mich., and lived in Hazlet until settling in the Freehold area in 1980. He was a professional mover for Phil’s Express, Old Bridge, for the past 15 years. Mr. Coyle was a parishioner of the Abundant Life Church of God, Freehold. He was also a member of the Shore Line Club, Belmar. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Marilyn and George Meicke of Howell; his father and companion, Philip P. Coyle Sr. and Maggie DeGrazio of Old Bridge; a brother, Bryan Coyle of Hudson, Fla.; a sister, Christine Cassiere of Jackson; one nephew and three nieces. Internment was private. MARYANNE H. ROSE, 48, of Howell, died July 30 in Tinton Falls from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Neptune Township and raised in Freehold. Ms. Rose was a graduate of Freehold High School. She was a waitress. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Luis and Jill Rose, Orlando, Fla.; her father, Robert Rose, Laurel, Del.; her mother, Anne Grinkevich Rose, with whom she lived; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Joseph and Kathleen Rose, Freehold; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Robert Leming, Howell; a close companion, Proof Fevola; and four nephews. Internment took place at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. JANE PIENTAK, 74, of Howell, died July 28 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Pientak was born in New York City and had lived in Queens before moving to the Surrey Downs adult community in Howell in 1995. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale, and a member of the Surrey Downs Singles Club. Her husband, Joseph, died in April 2001. Surviving are two sons, Brian Pientak of North Aurora, Ill., and Lawrence Pientak of Colonia; a brother, Edward Glinski of West Islip, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Catherine of Siena Church. Interment was in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia. JONATHAN M. COLE, 56, of Alexandria, Va., died July 29 at North Virginia Community Hospital, Arlington. Born in Neptune, he grew up in Freehold and moved to the Washington, D.C., area in 1969. Mr. Cole was an administrator with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Washington, D.C. He was a 1964 graduate of Freehold Regional High School and a 1970 graduate of Shardron State College, Nebraska. Mr. Cole is survived by a brother, Bernard D. of Burke, Va.; and a sister, Lisa A. Cole of Alexandria. Interment took place at Workman’s Circle Cemetery, Freehold. |
