Jackson resident wants political signs removed from roadsides

To those political candidates who were successful in their bid to be elected to serve the public, good luck and congratulations. Hopefully you will keep the campaign promises you made to the people who voted for you and got you elected to office.

To those who were not as successful, you gave it your best shot and should be proud of that. If politics is something you truly want to get involved in because you think you can make a difference, God willing there will be another chance someday.

To both the winners and losers I say this. It is now time to take down your political signs from our roadways.

They are an eyesore, and it is a matter of time before they become part of the litter that already mars the sides of our roadways. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

      Robert E. Richards
