Adult enrichment courses offered at college

The Ocean County College Department of Continuing and Professional Education, College Drive, Toms River, is offering courses for adults age 55 and over. More than 40 classes are offered in painting, music, computers, cooking, finance, fitness, history, languages, medicine, nature, writing and literature. Some of the courses offered are:

• "For the Birds," March 11-25, 9-11 a.m., $46. Register by March 3.

• "Music and Ideas: An Appreciation," March 12-April 23, 10 a.m.-noon, $68. Register by March 4.

• "Sharpening Your Axe: The Short Novel," March 12-26, 9:30-11 a.m., $47. Register by March 4.

• "Viva Verdi," March 12-26, 7-9 p.m., $52. Register by March 4.

• "Franklin D. Roosevelt," March 17, 9:30-11:30 a.m., $23. Register by March 7.
