      LEON WIECZOREK, 75, of Old Bridge, died May 3 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Burdynski Wieczorek, and by a great-grandson, Martin Wieczorek III. Surviving are his wife, Ingrid Fuchs Wieczorek; two sons, Martin Wieczorek and Leon Wieczorek Jr., both of Old Bridge; a daughter, Marylee Condren of Lake-wood; three stepchildren, Phyllis Riggleman of Ewing, Petra Leonard of Tinton Falls and Peter Hahnke of North Brunswick; two sisters, Theresa Judson of South River and Lillian Spina of South Amboy; a brother, Charles Wieczorek of South River; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.

      ARTHUR J. CHAMBERS, 82, of Sayreville, died May 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Emily Depula Chambers, died in 2002. Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Ruge of Monroe, Doris Novello of Sayreville and Theresa Force of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton; two sons, Steven Wands of the Colonia section of Woodbridge and Robert Chambers of Howell; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.

      CARMEN J. ZANGARA, 73, of Milltown, died May 13 at home. Surviving are his wife, Connie Caruso Zangara; two daughters, Donna Torres of the New Egypt section of Plumsted and Cindy Napolitano of Little Egg Harbor; a sister, Rose Caggiano of Riverton; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      JOHN MEDEL SR., 78, of Old Bridge, died May 12 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Medel; three sons, David Medel of Howell, John Medel of Old Bridge and Stephen Medel of South Yarmouth, Mass.; a brother, George Medel of the Toms River section of Dover; three sisters, Eleanor Medel of South Amboy, Lydia Riepel of Brick and May Lynch of Beachwood; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Memorial Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Old Stage Road, East Brunswick 08816.

      DOROTHY ROSENTHAL, 88, of Manal-apan, died May 16 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Passaic for 35 years before moving to Manalapan 27 years ago. She was a catalog clerk for Sears in Wayne for 14 years before retiring in 1980. She is survived by her husband, Philip; a son, Stephen, of Howell; a daughter, Irene Buchalter of Clementon; a sister, Matilda Rosenberg of Manalapan; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Interment was in Kin Solomon Cemetery, Clifton.

      HENRY FRANCIS CHANDLER, 57, of Freehold Township, died May 17 at home. Born in Queens, N.Y., he lived in Queens and in Old Bridge before moving to Freehold Township 10 years ago. He was a commodities broker for the New York Mercantile Exchange, New York City. Surviving are a son, Laurence Chandler, at home; a daughter, Jennifer Chandler of Howell; his mother, Mary Ranft of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Jack Chandler of California and Jerry Chandler of Howard Beach; and a sister, Jane Tantillo of Pennsylvania.

      JOHN L. NELSON, 79, of Freehold Town-ship, died May 18 at home. He was born in South Amboy and lived there before moving to Freehold Township in 1962. He was a stationary engineer for National Lead Industries, Sayreville, where he was employed for 35 years before retiring in 1985. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the East Freehold Fire Company, Freehold Township, an exempt member of the South Amboy Fire Department, a member of American Legion Post No. 54, Freehold, and a member of the 2nd Regiment Middlesex County Militia. He was predeceased by two daughters, Gail and Amy. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Wynkoop Nelson; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John L. Nelson Jr. of Howell, Ralph and Bonnie Nelson of Brick, and Martin and Nina Nelson of Freehold; and seven grandchildren.
