The game played was par-4s only. In the 18-hole competition, Linda Burnett won the A Flight with a gross score of 50, followed by Saralee Surett (56) and Mary Burniston (59). Joan Friedman had the low net of 39, followed by Dolores Paccione (43) and Rose Conklin (44). Cookie Frankel won the B Flight with a gross score of 58, followed by Mary Scotese (61) and Annette Brenner (64). Kit Davis had low net of 36, followed by Pat Borton (40) and Bonnie Smoyer (45). Nancy Molee won the C Flight with a gross score of 67, followed by Barbara Bell (69) and Gladys Bober (76). Karen Shupper had low net of 46, followed by Bea Rausch (51) and Nancy Powderly (56). In the nine-hole competition, Sandy Kwiecinski had the low gross in the A Flight with 36, followed by Aileen Kershner (38) and Nancy Robbins (41). Alba Ramos had the low net of 22, followed by Flo Kangos (26) and Mary Helen Sullivan (28). Barbara Tafro had the low gross in the B Flight with 42, followed by Audrey Rosenbery (43) and Ruth Krisman (46). Lorraine Schneider had the low net with 25, followed by Lorraine Alessio (28) and Bev Deardorff (29). The Pinelanders youth soccer club, Howell, will hold open registration sessions for its fall recreational program May 30, from 7-9 p.m., May 31 from 9 a.m. to noon, June 6 from 7-9 p.m., and June 7 from 9 a.m. to noon. All registration sessions will be held at Hugh Hoffman Fields, Adelphia-Farmingdale Road (Route 524), Howell. The fields are located behind the Revenue Administration offices, three miles east of Route 9. If the weather is bad for the final session, call (732) 919-2111. Players must be ages 4-18 by Oct. 1. Birth certificates should be brought to registration. Places in some age groups are limited. The fee for registration is $40 per player, with a maximum of $80 per family. Registration will take place May 29 from 5:30-8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Egypt recreation field. There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $70 with a $50 fee for each additional sibling, with a family cap of $135. Also a $75 refundable separate work bond check is needed but will not be deposited. Registration is open to children from New Egypt, Cookstown, New Hanover, Bordentown, Chesterfield, Wrightstown, Mansfield and Springfield. Girls between the ages of 5-14, and boys between the ages of 5-15 as of July 31 are welcome (weight restrictions apply for boys). A new travel baseball team from the Jackson area is looking for players under age 10. Games will be played on Sundays, and all players from all local Little Leagues are eligible. Tryouts will be held in June at a location to be determined at a later date. The fall season begins in September. The team will be called the Jackson Hurricanes. The Howell United Ladybugs U12 girls’ soccer team will be holding tryouts on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Land O’ Pines School on Windeler Road. There will be no tryouts. Each child is placed on a team and will play in every game at the Frank Bartolf Sports Complex on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Games are at 5:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. from July 1-Aug. 7. There is no fee. Registration will be June 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The Lakewood Community School will include a youth track program designed for boys and girls ages 9 and under, 10-11, and 12-14. Participants will gain a basic knowledge of all track events and compete in a mini track meet. The program will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Lakewood High School track from 6-8 p.m. from June 30-July 24. Registration is on June 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the track. Lakewood Mayor Marta Harrison announced the Lakewood Township Summer Recreation Program is offering a six-session golf clinic for beginners, intermediate and youth. PGA pro golfer Todd Toohey will discuss the fundamentals, rules, etiquette, terminology and course strategy of golf. Included will be discussions on practice methods, basic swings and club selection. Classes meet on the driving range of the Lakewood Country Club Tuesdays, beginning July 1 at the following times: 9-10 a.m., 10-11 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon, and on Thursdays (beginning July 3) at the following times: 5-6 p.m. or 6-7 p.m. Young adults (ages 10-16) will meet 7-8 p.m. Bring a pitching wedge, putter and 5 iron to the class.
