Indian Festival to help destitute youngsters
The second annual Touch of India Festival will be held June 22 at the Georgian Court College Casino, Lakewood, from 1-5 p.m.
The program is sponsored by "Empower the Children," a nonprofit foundation dedicated to helping handicapped and homeless youngsters, which has six educational and nutritional programs for poor youngsters in Kolkata (Calcutta), India.
Money raised will be used for these programs. The festival will feature Indian music, dance, food, art, mehendi hand painting and various Indian products. Requested minimum donation is $25. Donations are tax deductible. Call (732) 901-6733 for tickets.
