Howell Township Recreation is hosting a "Father/Daughter Gala" Sept. 19 at Our House Tavern, from 6-9 p.m. The cost for the evening, which includes a dinner buf­fet, a professional color photo and music for dancing, is $28 per person and must be paid at the time reservations are made. Jazz ensemble will hold

final summer concerts

Lakewood Recreation Director and Community School adminis­trator Michael A. Matta announced the Lakewood Jazz Ensemble, under the di­rection of Wilbur Wittemann, will con­clude this year’s "Summer Carousel of Music" series tour with performances at FirstEnergy Park, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. and again on Aug. 24 at the Lake Carasaljo Amphitheater at 5 p.m. The jazz ensemble, composed of 20 musicians from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland, has been performing throughout the area for more than 15 years.
