      Jennifer Elfert, doctor of audiology, has joined the staff of Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Dr. Elfert, licensed in New York and New Jersey, comes to Kimball’s Speech and Hearing Department from private practice in northern New Jersey and Manhattan. A member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology, Dr. Elfert is a graduate of the University of Florida and Hofstra University, as well as an adjunct professor at Yeshiva University. Her special interests lie in the areas of balance and aural rehabilitation and she is experienced in the latest hearing aid technology.

      Watchung Spring Water is celebrating its 100th year by introducing its own private label coffee, called Watchung Mountain Coffee, along with a new coffee program for food stores.

      Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin Robbins, TOGO’s will celebrate its first anniversary in Howell on Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4199 Route 9 north, Howell. The anniversary event will feature an autograph session with former N.Y. Giants wide receiver Stephen "Touchdown Maker" Baker; a chance for one customer to "throw for $50,000;" football games and prizes and an appearance by NJ 101.5’s "The Jersey Guys," Carton and Rossi.

      Fund-raising efforts by the Kimball Foundation have passed the $5 million mark as progress continues on the $27 million Emergency Department expansion at Kimball Medical Center. The Kimball Medical Center Emergency Department expansion will nearly double treatment capacity from 40,000 to 70,000 visits annually. Through the support of local businesses, community organizations, area residents and physicians, board members, auxilians and employees, the Kimball Medical Center Foundation raises funds to expand hospital services, develop new hospital programs, recruit doctors and bring state-of-the-art technology to the facility.       BYOB.guide.com, Westmont, has announced the creation of www.BYOBguide.com, a new Web site to enable diners to search for "bring your own bottle (BYOB)" restaurants in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The site provides a listing of more than 600 restaurants, as well as area wine events.
