      Dominick J. Consolate

      Mr. Consolate, 71, of Jackson, died Feb. 24 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, he had resided in Hillside before moving to Jackson six years ago. For 45 years, he was a senior draftsman designer in tool, machine and electromechanical devices. Among the companies for which he worked were Thomas Edison Labs in East Orange; AT&T; Merck & Co. in Rahway; Sigma Design in Irvington; Electroid; Cidco; CDI; Mechanical Designers & Builders in Orange; TT Labs; and ITT Aerospace Communications Division in Nutley, from which he retired in the early 1990s. He was a graduate of Central High School, Newark, and had attended the Newark College of Engineering, Rutgers University, the Newark College of Fine Arts, the Gage School of Dramatic Arts in Montclair, the Marden Bate Studio and the Herbert Berghof Studio, both in New York City. He was an actor, producer and director for several community theaters, including the theater shack in North Arlington, which he had founded as well. He designed sets and lighting for many shows such as "Fiorello!" and "Damn Yankees." A semiprofessional singer, he played various roles — which included Joe in "Showboat," a card player in "Fiorello!," Archie Beaton in "Brigadoon" and Moonface Martin in "Anything Goes" — and appeared in a dramatic series on a Newark jazz radio station, WBGO-FM. Mr. Consolate was also a writer, poet, oil painter, portraitist and cartoonist. He was an active member of the National Right to Life organization; an instructor of handicapped adults at Mount Carmel Guild in Newark; president of the Nazareth Soup Kitchen and Child Care Mission in Delmas, Haiti; and a strong supporter of the ministry of The Word of God in outreach and evangelism. Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Sharon Consolate; a sister, Judith Spirito of Morris Plains; a brother, John Spirito of Iselin; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy was offered at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lakewood. George S.       Mr. Reichenberger, 69, of Howell died March 25 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Wayside, he had lived in the Highlands and in Jackson before moving to Howell eight years ago. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a mould caster for Engineered Precision Casting Co., Middletown. He was also a former member of the Morganville Volunteer Fire Department, Marlboro. Surviving are a son, Clifford Reichenberger Jr. of Florida; a daughter, Christine; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Rose Reichenberger of Howell; and three grandsons. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum.Frances Miele

      Mrs. Miele, 92, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, died March 8 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Keansburg before moving to Leonardo in 1977. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Miele was predeceased by her husband, Valentine, in 1976 and a grandson, John "Buddy" Getts. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Joseph Sabini of Hallandale, Fla.; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Joseph and Joan of Jackson, Peter F. of Belleville, Valentine A. and Barbara of Elmira, N.Y., and Frank A. and Nancy of Fairfield, Conn.; a brother, Frank Puccio of Dover; three sisters, Marie King, Nancy Whitley and Teresa Parisi, all of Jersey City; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. John F.       Mrs. Palmieri, 91, of Manalapan, died March 5 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Howell before moving a year ago to Manalapan, where she was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church. A homemaker, Mrs. Palmieri was predeceased in 1980 by her husband, Frank. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Ann of Englishtown; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marie and Cipriano Rivieccio of Jackson, Dolores Zwirz of Mahopac, N.Y., and Linda and Steven Elias of Freehold; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Grace Farino of the Bronx, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Lucy and William Sforza of North White Plains, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction, N.Y.       Mr. McGrath, 82, of Shrewsbury, died March 3 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, due to complications from diabetes and Parkinson’s disease. Born in Erie, Pa., he had lived in Red Bank before moving to Shrewsbury in 1952. Prior to retiring in Aug. 1986, he worked for the Red Bank Post Office for 24 years. He was a Cub Scout leader for Troop 50 in Shrewsbury for several years and also started the first girls softball team in Shrewsbury. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and James; a brother, James; and a sister, MaryAnn Coe. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Emmanuelletta L.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James P. of Bothell, Wash., and Charles D. and Diane of Howell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia A. and Bernard J. Homefield of Ocean Grove, and Kathleen M. and William E. McCauley of River Plaza; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
