Resident appreciates lifesaving efforts

On Aug. 4 as I was driving home, all of a sudden I felt like I was having a heart attack — which ended up to be a heart attack. I knew I could not drive any farther, so I pulled into the Jackson post office and asked the clerks to please call 911.

I would like to say thank you to all the postal workers who helped save my life. I would also like to thank the Jackson Fire Department members who helped save my life, as well as the emergency medical tech-nicians who also helped to save my life and got me to the hospital so I could get the help I needed. There was also a woman and a gentleman at the post office who didn’t even know me and stepped in and helped. Thank you to them, too. Thanks so much to everyone.
