The annual Jackson Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award banquet will be held Sept. 22 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. Proceeds from the Citizen of the Year gift auction are used to benefit the chamber scholarship established through the Jackson Memorial High School Scholarship Fund. Rutgers Mini-MBA Business Essentials Certificate program will return to Freehold Township Sept. 28 through Dec. 14. The program is designed for professionals and managers seeking a deeper understanding of business and a better understanding of how various functional areas of organizations relate to one another, and for those considering an MBA.
The 12-week program features focused learning experiences around 12 subject areas, including business strategy, finance, marketing, law, ethics and organizational change. The sessions are delivered in three-hour modules and are delivered in a hands-on format designed for practitioners. Participants work on case studies or read assigned articles and explore them in the classroom. Registrations are being accepted for the Freehold program as well as the sessions in Piscataway, Newark and Morristown. The Mini-MBA will be held on 12 Tuesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. The fee is $2,495 and includes tuition and materials. A nursing opportunities open house will be held Sept. 21, 1:30-5 p.m., at the Monmouth County Care Centers John L. Montgomery Division, 115 Dutch Lane Road, Freehold Township. The event is designed to give those in the nursing profession an opportunity to explore employment with the Monmouth County Department of Human Services and Health facilities. All registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurse’s aides, and recreational therapists are invited to attend.
