Author to speak about Mars at Lakewood library

Author George J. Haas will speak at the Lakewood branch of the Ocean County Library, 301 Lexington Ave., on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. Haas is the author of “The Cydonia Codex, Reflections from Mars,” which is about the discovery of artificial structures on Mars. After analyzing NASA photographs of the planet Mars, Haas offers evidence of monumental edifices from a prehistoric Martian civilization which parallels the sculpture and mythology of ancient cultures from Mesoamerica, Asia, Mesopotamia and Egypt. Haas lives in Jackson with his wife, Dr. Amelia Joy Cole. They have three daughters.
