Ornament makers needed

for group’s ‘Wish Tree’

The Jackson Women of Today is seeking groups and individuals to make ornaments for the annual “Wish Tree.” The tree will be in the Jackson ShopRite lobby from Nov. 20 until Christmas.

The ornaments will be tagged with gift requests from patrons of the food pantry. Those interested in donating may call (732) 833-2298 or (732) 833-1067. Donated ornaments should be brought to the Jackson ShopRite at the courtesy counter, 260 N. County Line Road, by Nov. 3.

Church to host ‘Blessing

of the Animals’ Oct. 3

All Saints Episcopal Church in Lake-wood will hold a ‘Blessing of the Animals” Oct. 3 at 1:30 p.m. in front of the church, 213 Madison Ave. All pets including dogs, cats, and other mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and insects may be brought.
