Helen D. Noumair

Mrs. Noumair, 83, of Asbury Park, died Nov. 11 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Asbury Park, she resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Bergen County before moving back to the Monmouth County area in 1968. Before her retirement, Mrs. Noumair was the recreation director at Macy’s, New York City, where she was responsible for 10,000 employees. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Deal, where she was a Eucharistic minister and reader at Mass. She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Asbury Park and a former president of the club’s board of trustees. She also was a volunteer for the Bergen County Executive Council, a Girl Scout troop leader, president of the Woman’s Club of Allendale, and was active with the American Red Cross. Mrs. Noumair was predeceased by her first husband, Martin E. Husing, in 1967. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Edward Noumair of Deal; three daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Husing Katz and Richard Katz of Tinton Falls, Janice Marie and Alan Husing-Gentry Rushforth of Bryn Mawr, Pa., and Diane Noumair Belloit and Nick Belloit of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Patty Noumair of Patterson, N.Y., and Edward and Pamela Noumair of Howell; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church. The Buckley Funeral Home, Asbury Park, was in charge of arrangements. Raymond W. Coderre Sr.

Mr. Coderre, 76, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, formerly of Brick and Summit, died Nov. 18 in Raritan Bay Medical Cemetery, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as supervisor of engineering at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. His wife, Marie Tedesco Coderre, died in 1998. Surviving are two sons, Raymond Jr. of Jackson and William of Freehold; two brothers, Walter of Galloway and William of the Millington section of Passaic Township; a sister-in-law, Florence Allocco of the Forked River section of Lacey; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holmdel Cemetery.

Charles Thomas Perez Sr.

Mr. Perez, 72, of Jackson, died Nov. 10 at home. Born in New York City, he had resided in Old Bridge for many years before moving to Jackson. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a supervisor for 37 years at Brynwood Gardens, Old Bridge, and had also worked as a “special” officer for the Old Bridge Police Department. He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Mr. Perez was predeceased by two sons, Charles Perez Jr. and John Perez. Surviving are his wife, Muriel McDonnell Perez; two daughters, Donna Horan, of Jackson, and Dale Serdinsky, of Toms River; three sisters, Alice Swetland and Gladys Finnigan, both of California, and Millie Rodriguez, of Maryland; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ambrose Church. Burial took place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Mary Chojnacki

Mrs. Chojnacki, 43, of Jackson, died Nov. 13 at home. Born in New Brunswick, she was raised in Old Bridge and had lived in Freehold before moving to Jackson seven years ago. She was a graduate of the duCret School of Art, Plainfield, and was an accomplished weaver and spinner. She was a homemaker for the past four years and had previously been employed in the display department at J.C. Penney Co. Inc. in East Brunswick and Freehold. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson. Surviving are her husband, Robert John Chojnacki Jr.; a son, Robert John Chojnacki III, at home; her parents, Robert N. and Catherine Battaglia Rider of Old Bridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Denise Rider of East Brunswick; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ellen and Larry Harris of Freehold, Rita and Tom Birardi of Jackson, and Janet and Paul Babbitt of Magnolia, Ark.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Carol Chojnacki of Marlboro; and eight nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, followed by interment at Harmony Cemetery, Jackson.

John W. Mogilski

Mr. Mogilski, 82, of Brick, died Nov. 17 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, he had resided in Freehold Township for 25 years before moving to Brick 11 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1979, he was employed for more than 30 years as a first-class machinist for PSE&G, Ridgefield Park. He served as a sergeant in the Marine Corps during World War II and was also a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Foczmanski Mogilski; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Marie Mogilski, of Freehold Township; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Brian Hall, of Millstone, Pamela and James Wish, of Farmingdale, and Patricia and Glenn Saker, of Jackson; and nine grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Harry M. Davison

Mr. Davison, 86, of Freehold, died Nov. 18 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Freehold, he was a lifelong resident. He was a landscaper for P.J. Schweitzer Co., Spotswood, where he was employed for 25 years before retiring in 1983. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4374 and American Legion Post 54, both of Freehold. Mr. Davison was predeceased in 1983 by his wife, Bertha Yapps Davison. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. and Claudette Davison of Brick, and Walter C. and Marlene Davison of Howell; a brother, David Davison of Freehold; a sister, Barbara Archer of Freehold; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. VFW services were also held.
