There is so much more to Hadassah than meets the eye

Most people think that Hadassah is a women’s social club. Well, have I got a surprise for you. Hadassah is so much more. Hadassah teaches health awareness. It’s “Hadassah Cares” campaign, for instance, has educated hundreds of thousand of women and teens regarding proper breast health care and examination.

The world-famous Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem is a pioneer in medical achievement. Hadassah brings about medical miracles at its two hospitals, five schools, outpatient clinics, research facilities and community health center in Jerusalem, which receives support from Hadassah members around the world. It offers treatment to more than half a million Jews, Moslems and Christians in Israel each year.

Hadassah educates. Because of the efforts of Hadassah members, students at Hadassah College of Technology in Jeru-salem graduate to work in fields such as computers, television production, photography, hotel management and dental technology.

Hadassah provides humanitarian relief. Hadassah was responsible for the largest shipment of relief supplies to be sent to Bosnia by a non-governmental organization. And physicians from the Hadassah Medical Organization were part of the international team aiding refugees in Rwanda, and also assisted victims from the terrorist bomb blast in Buenos Aires.

Hadassah is an advocate for issues of concern to women and Jews in America. It urges women to get out and vote. It promotes Jewish education and spirituality.

We invite you to learn more about Hadassah and be part of the extraordinary opportunities to help your fellow man – and at the same time meet a heck of a bunch of nice women.
