St. Rose High School is pleased to announce plans to host the 11th annual Run for the Roses Grammar School Soccer Jamboree. The Run for the Roses Soccer Jamboree, sponsored by the St. Rose High School Athletic Club, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the St. Rose High School Athletic Complex on Hurley Pond Road near Allaire Airport in Wall Township. The Soccer Jamboree is open to grammar and middle school teams in Monmouth and Ocean counties only. The deadline for applications is Oct. 5. The following are the results of the Nick “the Quick” Werkman All-American Action Clinic’s July 28 camp. Ricky Abelson won the hotshot contest with 23 points, followed by Christian Denman (21), Justin DeSantis (18), Ryan Evans (15), Jordan Garman and Jack Kaszuba with 10 points. Evans won the foul-shooting contest, going 10-for-10, followed by Abelson (9-10), Denman (8-10), DeSantis (7-10), Garman and Kaszuba (6-10). Abelson, Evans and Kaszuba were all MVPs.
