Ocean County Library has received a $20,000 grant from the OceanFirst Foundation to provide bilingual story times at 10 branches this fall: Toms River, Point Pleasant Beach, Stafford, Barnegat, Jackson, Manchester, Brick, Upper Shores, Lakewood and Berkeley.

In addition, Ocean County Library also received three $2,000 grants from the Central Jersey Regional Library Cooperative to support the World Language Storytelling initiative. Branches receiving grants for this program were specifically chosen to represent the communities they serve.

Through this project, Ocean County Library will recruit bilingual Spanish speaking teens and college students and train them in the art of storytelling.
