The Jackson Renegades U12 Girls travel soccer team went undefeated this past season in the Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association National 6 Flight. Their record was 9-0-1. Of the 10 games six were shutouts. They scored a total of 43 goals and were only scored on five times. The players are Courtney Wolf, Gabby Caroccia, Erin Kelly, Tiffany Eberhart, Emily Eisenhour, Erin Scheno, Jessica Rodriguez, Jessica Green, Katrina Kelly, Alex Kavoleff, Ashliegh Uhl, Shannon Evans, Jenna Alchevsky, Emily Diaz, Felicia Vieira and Jaycie Kelly. The coaches are Oscar Diaz and Nick Scheno.

Gymnasts from the Wilton Academy of Gymnastics in Howell participated in the Rutgers Invitational on Nov. 19.

Karlee Makely scored a 32.55 in the all-around, Ashley Louro placed 10th among 8-year-olds on the floor with a 9.0 en route to a 33.20 AA score; Taylor Masin placed fifth among 10-year-olds on the vault with a 9.1 en route to a 30.00 AA score, qualifying for the sectionals in her first meet; and Karlee Long scored a 28-75 in the AA in her first meet.

After a successful first season and a current 4-1-1 record at the Ocean Ice Palace, the Jackson Ice Hockey Club continues to play and fund-raise to meet the goal of playing high school hockey. The boys are sponsoring the Outrageous Athlete Contest.

The contest will be held at the Jackson Stop & Shop until Dec. 31. To enter a picture of an outrageous athlete, send the picture (no larger than 4x6), name, address and phone number, and a check for $5 made out to Jackson Ice Hockey Club. To vote for a picture, place a quarter per vote in the slot matching the number on the picture. Pictures will not be returned.

The winner of the contest will be notified by mail and will receive a gift certificate from Stop & Shop or Titan Hockey tickets.
