The following are the results of the Westlake Women's Golf Association's May 18 outing - stableford. In the 18-hole event, Eileen Anton won the A Flight with a 42, followed by Beth Pollak (37), Saralee Surett (37) and Joyce Connelly (36). Mary Ann Plesniak won the B Flight with a 38, followed by Barbara Bell (38), Paula Sands (38) and Annette Brenner (38). Mary Giehl won the C Flight with a 41, followed by Toby Lazan (37), Barbara Grena (36) and Evelyn Alkhas (32).

In the nine-hole event (string tournament), Gail Trieff won the A Flight with a 26, followed by Maria Hurley (27), Ruth Krisman (28) and Sandy Kwiecinski (29). Joan White won the B Flight with a 28, followed by Maria Sullivan (28), Lorraine Alessio (35) and Lorranie Schneider (36).Fredda Grumet won the C Flight with a 34, followed by Barbara Tafro (34), Rosemarie Konigsberger (44) and Miriam Applebaum (36).

The following are the results of the Westlake Men's Golf Association's May 17 event - best ball of two. In first place were Jorge Ramos and Arne Ildsgard with a 58, followed by Bill Koegel and Charles Raisch (60), John Walter and Al Schneider (61), Bill Osias and Mike Kornreich (61), Don Chou and Rich Bilenker (62), Shelly Lipson and Tom Gaven (62), John Liao and Len Petersen (63), and Larry Vaccarino and Manny Rice (63). The closest-to-the-pin contest winners were Mario Medici, Rich Bilenker, Manny Rice and Tom Gaven.

The Howell Giants, a 10- and 11-year-old travel baseball team currently playing in the USABL, is looking to add players to its summer and fall rosters. The summer season runs from July 1 through Aug. 6, with two games per week - one on Sundays and another during the week. The fall season starts after Labor Day and runs through Nov. 1. Pinelanders Youth Soccer Club, Howell, is now accepting registrations for the fall season. This is a recreational program: all games are played at the Pinelanders fields. Registration is open to boys and girls who will be age 4-18 on Oct. 1, 2006; birth certificates are required at registration. Girls 5-18 can choose all-girl or co-ed soccer. The fee is $40 per player, $80 maximum per family. There are no residency requirements.
