Free summer school for Lakewood residents

The Lakewood Board of Education will be sponsoring a summer school program from June 28 through Aug. 2. All Lakewood residents enrolled in grades seven through 12 are permitted to attend, free of charge. Registration will be held June 22, 23 and 26, with late registration on June 27. Courses will be offered in areas of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, ESL (English as a second language) and world languages, in addition to preparation for the GEPA and HSPA tests.

Applications are available in the high school guidance department. Students who are non-residents of Lakewood will pay tuition of $200 and must have courses approved by their guidance counselors, who must sign the application form. Details: (732) 905-3525 or (732) 905-3550.
