      + Harvest Familyfest will take place at the Southard Grange, 4860 Route 9 south, Howell, Oct. 28 from 2-6 p.m. The event will include many old-fashioned events and games for kids such as apple dunking, fortune telling, scary stories, homemade pie, costume and pumpkin decorating contests.       + The New Jersey Ghost Hunters will conduct an hourlong exploration of methods used for investigating paranormal activity, Nov. 1 at the Lakewood library, 301 Lexington Ave. No registration is required.

      + The Ardena Baptist Helping Hand will host its annual holiday bazaar, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, Route 524 in the Ardena section of Howell. Homemade baked goods, crafts, white elephant table, and children's fun will be available. Details: (732) 462-7831.

      + A Casino Night fundraiser, presented and sponsored by the Howell Optimist Club in conjunction with the Howell High School Drama Club Parents Association, will take place Nov. 4. at Our House Restaurant, 420 Adelphia Road, Howell, from 7-11 p.m. The ticket price of $50 includes buffet, cash bar, gift auction, $50 in "Lucky Money" and a chance to "Roll-the-Dice" and win $25,000.
