Councilman will cause fireworks at Howell meetings
I can't understand how Bob Walsh got re-elected to our Howell Township Council. Evidently, people are unaware of our meetings being broadcast on Channel 77. You get to see firsthand how disruptive he is. The rest of the council has to waste time explaining everything to him as he sits there yawning. Public hearings are for the people, not for educating Mr. Walsh on the rules and regulations of running a town.
It scares me that he is privy to sensitive issues in executive session. Nothing is being kept from us. The rest of the council lives here, too, and have our town in their best interest. He waves a stack of papers around, teasing us, inferring that in his hand is a whole lot of dirty little secrets we haven't been informed of. Show us the goods, already, Mr. Walsh. What are you hiding from us? I have never met anybody so self-patronizing, always looking for a pat on the back, pretending to care about the people.
He voted to take down everybody's real estate signs and lo and behold, out of the ground popped up his humongous "Miracle-Grow" Vote Walsh billboards instead. He voted down a much-needed elevator for our senior citizens, whom he proclaims to care so much about. Yet boasts about paying for the fireworks. With him sitting on the dais, why waste money on fireworks? They're going to be free.
To our great misfortune, at the end of this year, our beloved Juan Malave is leaving our council, a truly sincere, compassionate, intelligent humanitarian. It was an honor having him represent us. He deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Thank you to Mr. Malave and family for your service. You will be missed.
