Young Professionals, Forty and Under, a committee of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and a support group for professionals and college graduates, will hold its monthly meeting at 507 Main restaurant, 507 Main St., Belmar, Dec. 20 from 6-8:30 p.m. The cost is $20 at the door and includes a happy hour, holiday buffet and a chance to win prizes by playing Deal or No Deal.

Young Professionals, Forty and Under, aims to bring together younger people who are working in area businesses and companies but do not have a business affiliation of people their age that could help them as they "learn the ropes" from more experienced professionals.
WithumSmith&Brown, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, has announced the addition of Jonathan Katz as senior accountant and Joseph Malfet-tano as staff accountant. Both are based in the firm's Red Bank office.
Katz earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, Md., and a master of business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Baltimore. Katz resides in Howell.
Malfettano graduated from Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y., with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Malfettano resides in Toms River.
Theodore D. Bessler, president and CEO of Shore Community Bank, an-nounced the opening of the bank's Jackson office at 1130 East Veterans Highway. Located at Jackson Crossings, a retail and office complex, the branch is the fifth to be opened by the bank.
Shore Community Bank's new Jackson office is a homecoming for the veteran Central Jersey banker who spent 25 years of his life working in Jackson.
Bessler said customer service is a priority of the bank's employees. He said the structure of the bank allows employees to accommodate customers on the basis of their needs at a particular moment.
The Jackson branch is managed by Gerri Blace-McPhee, a banking veteran who has more than 25 years of management and lending experience. It also serves as the base of operations for the bank's business development efforts, headed by George Fisher. Fisher has served the area's businesses for more than 15 years.
The Lakewood Chamber of Com-merce holiday party and installation of officers of the 2007 board of directors will be held at the Georgian Court University Mansion in Lakewood, Dec. 12 from 6-8 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
