Bands sought for Feb. 10 event at JMHS
      JACKSON - A battle will soon be raging at Jackson Memorial High School. The Jackson Educational Foundation is looking for bands to showcase their musical talents in a Battle of the Bands competition which the foundation is sponsoring on Feb. 10 from 7-11 p.m. at the Jackson Memorial High School Fine Arts Center, Don Connor Boulevard.

Officials hoping to raise voices for school funding

      JACKSON - Residents have to let the governor know they are not happy with the present state of school funding in New Jersey, according to Jackson officials. Mayor Mark Seda said petitions will be circulated in the community and eventually sent to Gov. Jon Corzine to let him know that Jackson wants its share of the public education pie.
