Elvis fans return to Lakewood for charity
      Local businessman Andrew Howard in cooperation with Zanzibar music and the Ocean County ARC will present the sixth annual Friends of Elvis convention. The event helps the Ocean County ARC provide funds for people with developmental disabilities. The event is scheduled for Feb. 3 at the Strand Theater, Clifton Avenue, Lakewood, from 1-4:30 p.m.

      The Lakewood Clergy Association and Lakewood Township will honor Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 15 at the Strand Theatre on Fourth Street and Clifton Avenue in Lakewood. The free event is open to the public and will feature singing and words of encouragement. No tickets are needed.
