School candidates must file petition by Feb. 26

Lakewood School Board President Chet Galdo announced that the deadline for filing nominating petitions to run for positions on the Lakewood Board of Edu-cation is 4 p.m. Feb. 26. The election is scheduled for April 17.

Prospective school board candidates can obtain a School Board Candidate Kit at the Board Office in the Princeton Avenue Administration Building, 635 Princeton Ave., Lakewood.

The kit includes a nominating petition and information about legal qualifications for school board candidacy as well as important dates, briefing sessions and school ethics.
