Gloria W. Branson
Mrs. Branson, 70, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, died Jan. 27, 2007, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Irvington, she resided in Middletown, and Florida for 30 years, prior to relocating to Middletown in 2002. She was the owner of a custom-made bedspread and drapery business. She was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd Thomas in 2001. She is survived by her husband, Chester Branson; a son, Gary Branson of Middletown; a daughter, Joanne Branson of Middletown; a sister, Joyce Kelly of Jackson; and a brother, Don Thomas of Lakehurst. A funeral service will be Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
Andrew Bernard Lundy
Andrew Bernard Lundy, 16, of Freehold Township, died Jan. 10, 2007, in Freehold Township. Born in Neptune, he had lived in Howell before moving to Freehold Township. He attended the C. Richard Applegate and Dwight D. Eisenhower schools, both of Freehold Township, and was a junior at Freehold High School, Freehold Borough, where he was enrolled in the Medical Sciences Learning Center. A straight-A pre-med student, Andrew was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society. In addition, he received numerous academic achievement awards and was a National Merit Scholar. He was a volunteer at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. An avid guitar player, he also loved watching and participating in hockey, football and baseball. Andrew was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Bernard Harold Lundy. He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Theodore Lundy of Freehold Township; a sister, Brooke Lundy of Hartford, Conn.; two brothers, Jason G. and David J. Lundy, both at home; his maternal grandparents, Delores and George Csaki of Manalapan; his paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Brown of Aventura, Fla.; an aunt, Janet Van Fossen of Howell; and a cousin, Charles Van Fossen of Howell. Funeral services were held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements. Louise Clayton-LaStation
Mrs. Clayton-LaStation, 92, of the Adelphia section of Howell, died Jan. 11, 2007. Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., she moved to the Adelphia area in 1933. She was an aircraft spotter during World War II. She was a member of many clubs and organizations including the Molly Pitcher Chapter of the Eastern Star, Women's Club of Freehold, and the Ladies Auxiliary-Howell Township Fire Company No. 1. Mrs. Clayton-LaStation, along with her first husband, C. Ensley Clayton, had owned and operated the C.H.T. Clayton & Sun Funeral Home, Adelphia, until 1979. She was predeceased by a son, C. Ensley Clayton, in 1942; her first husband, C. Ensley Clayton, in 1969, and her second husband, William LaStation, in 1994. Surviving are a son, Charles Clayton of Adelphia; a daughter, Anne McCarty of Howell; and two grandsons. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia.
Maryjane Grotyohann
Mrs. Grotyohann, 75, of Lakewood, died Jan. 14, 2007, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Philadelphia, she resided in the Lincroft section of Middletown, prior to relocating to Lakewood eight years ago. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Red Bank. She enjoyed needle crafts, and quilting. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur G.; and a brother, Philip H. Lauer. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Greg and Patty Grotyohann of Southern Shores, N.C., and Kurt Grotyohann of Freehold Township; a daughter, Beth DeMartino of Tinton Falls; a brother and sister-in-law, Theodore W. and Janice Lauer of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; and two granddaughters. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
Jacqueline J. (Kreamer) Kearns
Mrs. Kearns, 83, of Jackson, died Jan. 15, 2007, at home. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Cliffwood before moving to Jackson two years ago. Mrs. Kearns was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sharon Kearns of Bath, Pa., and William and Dian Kearns of Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jim O'Donnell of Jackson; a sister, Alma Klein of Holmdel; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Day Funeral Home, Keyport, followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, also Keyport.
Barbara Bennett
Mrs. Bennett, 60, of Farmingdale, died Jan. 17, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Farmingdale. Prior to retiring in 1991, she was an office manager for Culligan Water, Freehold, for more than 20 years. She was predeceased by her father, George Bosko, in 1981. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine Fary and Donna and Russell Cook, all of Farmingdale; her mother, Ann Bosko, also of Farmingdale; a brother, John Bosko of Freehold; a sister, Georgiann Halligan of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Jenna and Allyson Fary; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Jamesburg. Helen Ormsby
Mrs. Ormsby, 72, of Manalapan, died Jan. 19, 2007, at her daughter's home in Jackson. Born in Bayonne, she had lived in Manalapan for 42 years. She was formerly employed at ShopRite Foodarama in Aberdeen. Mrs. Ormsby was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband of 41 years, Matthew, and in 2002 by a granddaughter, Kimberly Anne Cuozzo. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Wendy Ormsby of Brunswick, Ohio; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and Thomas Cuozzo of Somerville, and Kathleen Ormsby and Nancy and Terrance Greene, all of Jackson; and seven grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, with Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, in charge of arrangements.
Patrick Daley
Patrick H. Daley, 41, of Brick, died Jan. 22, 2007, at Ocean County Medical Center at Brick. Born in Neptune, he had lived most of his life in Howell before moving to Brick 14 years ago. He was a former coach for a girls' softball league in Brick, a former member of the Howell BPO Elks, and an avid sports fan. Mr. Daley had been the circulation manager for the Asbury Park Press and the Star-Ledger, prior to becoming disabled in 2004. He was predeceased by his wife, Diana, in 2001, and his father, William, in 2006. Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Marie Daley of Brick; his mother, Joyce Daley of Freehold Township; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Timothy Daley of Freehold Township; and William and Elaine Daley of Tinton Falls; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marta and Al Schwank of Ocean Township; three sisters-in-law, Brenda, Christine and Anna; and four nephews. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia. Mary A. Corbett
Mrs. Corbett, 71, of South Brunswick, died Jan. 22, 2007, at Franklin Care Center, Franklin Township. Born in Baltimore, she resided in Jackson before relocating to South Brunswick in 2002. Mrs. Corbett was a certified nurse's aide at a Lakewood nursing home. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James K. and Joan Corbett of Milltown, and Charles C. and Patricia Corbett of Monroe; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ray Mooney of Ocala, Fla.; a sister, Ethel Fiddler of Baltimore; and two grandchildren. Arrangements were by the Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown.
