            This weekend's NJSIAA District 21 Wrestling Tournament will be a fan's delight. Starting with the state's No. 1 team, defending champion Jackson, many of the best wrestlers in the state will begin their quest for Atlantic City and the NJSIAA Championships, the goal of every scholastic grappler, at Manalapan High School.

      Howell's Waldron wins 100 freestyle at SC meet
            There was only one repeat winner at Saturday's Shore Conference Swimming Championships. That fact was not lost on the winner, Tucker Waldron of Howell. "It's a great feeling," he said after winning the 100-yard freestyle at the Ocean County YMCA in Toms River. "I was the only senior to win individually and the only one to repeat. It was cool to be able to win.

      Goetz boys team bounces back after its slow start
            JACKSON - After getting off to an auspicious 4-7 start, the Goetz Middle School boys basketball team has fought its way back to being one of the elite squads in the competitive Ocean County Intermediate School Athletic League. "We were off to a shaky start at the beginning of the season," Goetz coach Steve Bado said.

            By pulling out an exciting 4-4 tie against the Red Bank Regional Bucs on Feb. 8, the Jackson Memorial ice hockey team secured its spot in the 2007 state ice hockey tournament. The Jaguars rose above and beyond expectations this year, by accomplishing such a task in their first year. They maintained a .500 winning percentage by the Feb.
