Jane Louise Bovie
Mrs. Bovie, 86, of Howell, died Jan. 9, 2007, at Imperial Care Center, Neptune. Born in Howell, she was a lifelong resident of Howell. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Brick. Prior to retiring in 1960, she was an assembly line worker at Air Cruisers, Wall Township, for 10 years. She was predeceased in 1958 by her husband, John, and in 2005 by a son, John H. Surviving are one brother, George A. Matthews of Howell; one sister, Evelyn Ketcham of Englishtown; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, with interment at Adelphia Cemetery, Howell.
Brenda Christian
Mrs. Christian, 43, of Tinton Falls, died Feb. 4, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Point Pleasant Borough, she had lived in Neptune before moving to Tinton Falls eight years ago. She had been in the retail business since 1978, beginning her career at Shoe-Town Inc. She also worked for Victoria's Secret, Calvin Klein and Ascot Shoes Inc. Her most recent position was as a corporate manager for Bakers Footwear Inc., whose corporate office is located in St. Louis. Mrs. Christian was predeceased by her father, Karl F. Schrieber, in 2005. She is survived by her husband, Douglas W. Christian; two sons, Zachary and Matthew Christian, both at home; her mother, Sandra M. Schrieber of Jackson; a brother, Karl D. Schrieber of Howell; and a sister, Lisa Marie Schrieber of Jackson. A funeral Mass was celebrated at the Church of St. Anselm, Wayside, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. The Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.
Gina Marie Trerotola Sgambati
Mrs. Sgambati, 51, of Howell, died Feb. 11, 2007. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she had lived in North Bergen before moving to Howell in 1988. She was a teacher's aide in the Howell school district for the past five years. She had also been working part-time during the past year in a sales position at the Dress Barn, Howell. Mrs. Sgambati was predeceased by a brother, Frank Trerotola, in 1986. She is survived by a son and daughter, Andrew and Francesca Sgambati, both at home; a stepson, Michael Sgambati of Secaucus; a stepdaughter, Denise Dworkin of Howell; a brother, Tony Trerotola of Camerillo, Calif.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was private. Kathleen E. Blanchard
Mrs. Blanchard, 76, of Howell, died Feb. 9, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in North Abington, Mass., and had lived there and in Perth Amboy before settling in Howell in 1961. A homemaker, she was a graduate of Weymouth High School and Framingham State College, both of Massachusetts. Mrs. Blanchard was predeceased by her husband, David, in 2000 and a brother, Wilbur C. Fuller Jr. Surviving are a son, Brian Blanchard of Vineland; a daughter, Susan Moore of Bellingham, Wash.; a brother, William Johnstone of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters, Beverly Payne of Old Bridge and Dora Monegahan of Lincoln, R.I.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
