      Love of music joins Howell generations
      Students pay a visit to senior center and brighten up the day
            HOWELL - Every day at the Howell Senior Center there is a hot lunch waiting, a room full of people who already know your name and a program that has been prepared just for the community's older adults. The programs run the gamut from crafts and ceramics to exercise and intergenerational activities that foster an interaction between young people and the older adults.

      Seniors needed to perform at Festival of Senior Arts
            LAKEWOOD - Lakewood's historic Strand Theater, 400 Clifton Avenue, is issuing a casting call for seniors age 60 and over to perform at the Festival of Senior Arts. The only qualification is the love of entertainment and performance. There is no fee to participate and registration forms are available now.

      Ocean County Library set to host student film fest
            Ocean County Library will hold its first Student Film Festival at 6 p.m. March 30 at the Toms River branch, 101 Washington St., Toms River. The Student Film Festival is the result of a collaborative effort between student filmmakers, Ocean County schools, Ocean County Library, Ocean County College and the Ocean County Cultural and Heritage Commission.

      Pupils earn honors at competition
            JACKSON - There are gators in the St. Aloysius School, Bennetts Mills Road, but they are not the kind of gators one might imagine. Principal Elizabeth O'Connor said, "The teachers and staff of St. Aloysius have many reasons to be proud of their prekindergarten through grade eight students who attend Gatorland.
