Supporters of Arthritis Foundation did an outstanding job
I take this opportunity to thank Ocean County Free-holder Gerry Little who chaired the 2007 Arthritis Walk. He is a familiar face to this worthwhile cause and has worked very hard on its behalf. Through his efforts and others from the Arthritis Foundation, it was a huge success as the walk brought out a record number of supporters and raised funding for research and education.
I also want to thank the Stor-ino family of Jenkinson's pavilion for allowing us to use the pavilion as our base site. They have truly stepped up to the plate in sharing our mission and giving generously of time, money, resources and, as important, compassion.
Finally, allow me to thank all the many faces who made the Arthritis Walk possible - those who walked, worked the tables, gave contributions and spread the word about the event.
Lending support to the mission of the Arthritis Foundation allows the foundation to continue to do their very important job - to pursue new medicines and treatment strategies and ultimately, a cure for arthritis, a disease that affects millions, including my family.
