The community is invited to a free Pooch Pageant and Doggie Contest, sponsored by CareOne at Jackson, June 3 from 2-4 p.m. at CareOne at Jackson, a nursing and rehabilitation center located at 11 History Lane. Trophies and gift certificates from PetSmart will be awarded to dogs for the best costume, most original costume, tiniest dog, largest dog, loudest bark, most timid, best overall, and dog who most resembles his or her owner.
