      Pupils learn key points of making calls to 911
            HOWELL - Emma Dronne, a first-grader at the Adelphia School, helped her classmate Scott Wetzel in a pretend emergency situation by showing him how to call 911. Emma gave the 911 operator who answered the call her name, age, address, telephone number and told the operator about her emergency.

      Middle school graduations set for June 19
            HOWELL - Eighth-graders in the Howell K-8 School District will complete their elementary careers on June 19 when graduation ceremonies are held. Howell Memorial Middle School graduation is scheduled for 6 p.m. June 19. The school will be graduating its third class. Students expected to speak at the ceremony are Christopher Payette and Amanda Maisonaze.

            Marguerite Spellman, of Howell, received the Dramatic Writing Chair's Award at the recent 25th annual Student Awards Ceremony at Purchase College, Purchase, N.Y. The Theatre Arts & Film Chair's Awards are presented to students who have achieved professional levels of artistic work at Purchase.

      Jackson Memorial seniors set to conclude high school
            JACKSON - More than 700 seniors in the Jackson Memorial High School Class of 2007 will celebrate their graduation at 4 p.m. June 15 with a ceremony at the school's John Munley Field. In case of inclement weather, the graduation will be divided into two groups for ceremonies at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the JMHS Fine Arts Center.
