      Bible school planned
            Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and DeBows United Methodist Church will co-sponsor a vacation Bible school, July 16-20 from 10 a.m. to noon. The program is open to children age 4 through high school. The vacation Bible school will be held at the DeBows church, Route 537, Jackson.

      Girl Scouts of Jersey Shore host fundraiser
            The 16th annual Girl Scout Golf Classic will be held July 9 at Jumping Brook Country Club, Neptune. Gerry Norkus, president of Norkus Foodtown, is chair of the committee. The entry fee is $250 per golfer and includes a beat the pro contest, continental breakfast, golf cart, competitions, prizes, refreshments and lunch. Sponsorships are also available.

      Broadway trip planned
            The Lakewood Community School has only a few tickets left for the new hit Broadway musical "Grey Gardens" starring Tony Award-winner Christine Ebersole, scheduled for Sept. 29. This musical tells the story of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter, eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The fee of $115 includes orchestra seat and bus transportation.

      Comedy night to benefit Easter Seals New Jersey
            A comedy night to benefit Easter Seals New Jersey will be held June 28 at the Jackson Mills Firehouse, 465 N. County Line Road, Jackson, 7-11 p.m.. Entertainment will be provided by Gemini in addition to John Pizzi. Both acts can be viewed frequently at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

      Lakewood Toastmasters Club inducts new officers
            The Lakewood Piners Toastmasters Club will hold a ceremony for the induction of new officers at its last regular meeting of the Toastmasters year, June 26 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Lakewood Municipal Building, 231 Third St.
