Plumsted library collecting used books
      The Friends of the Plumsted Library will collect used books Aug. 4, Sept. 1 and Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The books will be sold at a book sale in November. Books, videos, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and comic books in good condition will be accepted. Books may be dropped off behind the New Egypt Historical Building on Evergreen Road in New Egypt.

Nature boat tours offered in Ocean County
      Nature boat tours will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August, 8-9 a.m. or 9-10 a.m., leaving from the Ocean County Parks Administration Office Boat Dock in Toms River. The boat tours allow a novel look at the natural features of Cattus Island County Park.
