It seems that Jackson politics is in full swing with those not in power doing all they can to point out the failures of the current administration. The administration is moving forward and trying to deal with the everyday issues of running the local government. They still attribute some of the issues they are dealing with to the prior administration and not themselves. More ... I want to thank my VFW Post 9691 and the community for their support over the past three years. Our quest for a post home continues. Our post will forge ahead until we achieve our goal. A councilman from our town said at a Township Council meeting that no municipality has ever given land or property to a VFW post for a meeting place. He is incorrect. More ... In June I was at the Howell Board of Education meeting that was reported on by the Tri-Town News. I heard the board president say how happy and surprised she was at the big turnout, it being the biggest turnout she had ever seen. I must agree with her that, in fact, it looked like one of the (most well attended) school board meetings I had ever seen. More ... I am sorry to learn about the resignation of Howell's Township Manager Tom Czerniecki. Mr. C. has been a great asset to this community over his short tenure as township manager. When I was on the Township Council, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Mr. C. for the manager's position. More ... |
