The Friends of the Plumsted Library will collect used books Sept. 1 and Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. The books will be sold at a book sale in November. Books, videos, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and comic books in good condition will be accepted. Books may be dropped off behind the New Egypt Historical Building on Evergreen Road in New Egypt. More ... The Howell Parks and Recreation Department recognized Sharlene Zup-pardo, founder of Autism Searching for a Better Tomorrow, on July 9 at Echo Lake Park.
