      Iwould like to address several points that were recently raised about Jackson municipal officials in another newspaper. First, my salary as a councilwoman is a gross pay of $722.33 per month (net $580.41 per month); my salary has not increased one cent. As a matter of fact, this is the same salary that the prior Township Committee members were receiving.

      Now that Assembly bill ACR 138 has been tabled, I am calling for a statewide strategy meeting to dis cuss our next step. Pressure needs to be applied to those legislators who stood in the way of eminent do main reform.

Closer oversight was needed on road project
      As if a 32 percent tax increase or a lack of accountability over gypsy moths wasn't enough, it now ap - pears we have people on our pay roll in Jackson that just "don't know!" I am speaking about the latest pending fines by the state Department of Environmental Protection over the Johnson Park emergency road.
