The following are the results of the Howell Men's Softball League's playoff:

A flight, round 1 - Bullets defeated Harrigators two games to none; Mesi Verdi defeated All Fenced In two games to one.

Round 2 - Skye Banc defeated Bullets two games to none; Trans America defeated Mesi Verdi two games to none.

Championship - Skye Banc defeated Trans America two games to one.

B flight, round 1 - Blendini defeated Raptors two games to one; Goon Squad defeated Warriors two games to none.

Round 2 - Woody's defeated Blendini two games to one; Goon Squad defeated Vultures two games to none.

Championship - Woody's defeated Goon Squad two games to none.

C flight, round 1 - Ortho defeated F.W.H. two games to none; Bear Dogs defeated Milita two games to one.

Championship - Ortho defeated Bear Dogs two games to none.

The Jackson Heat 11U (currently playing as 10s) travel baseball club is looking to add a few players. The team is looking for pitchers and position players, playing 46/60 in the fall and 50/70 in spring with tournaments in between. Team has done very well, winning USABL west division last fall and this spring. Team is 40-6 since inception as 9s, including tournaments. The Howell Heat 10U softball team went undefeated in the Howell Heat Wave Tournament, on Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, winning the tournament championship for the second time this year. Their record this season is 27-8-2 with one tournament left this season

The Jackson Renegades Girls Softball Organization is holding tryouts for players for the 2007-08 season. Tryouts are being held on the following dates: Sunday, Aug. 26, Sept. 9 and Sept. 16 (all age groups) from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tryouts are being held at Bartley Softball Fields located on Bartley Road in Jackson, across from Holbrook Little League.
