      Women of Today selling Evening of Giving tickets
            Jackson Women of Today (JWOT) will again be selling Evening of Giving tickets. Evening of Giving is a special, private evening of shopping for those who have donated $10 through the purchase of these special tickets. Evening of Giving will be held Nov. 18 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Ocean County Mall, Toms River. During the event the mall will be closed to the public.

      Jackson water mains, hydrants to be flushed
            The Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority will be flushing water mains and hydrants in Jackson now through Nov. 30. The flushing program will take place between 9 a.m. and midnight Monday through Friday (except holidays). Residents may experience temporary loss of pressure and discoloration of water.

      Film festival to begin Nov. 4
            From adventure and comedy to romance and suspense, the New Jersey Jewish Film Festival has a film of interest for everyone. The eighth annual festival, which runs Nov. 4-11 in North Brunswick, features nine New Jersey premieres, many of which will feature guest appearances by the directors. Tickets are now on sale and advance purchase is strongly recommended.

      Harvest fest set for Nov. 4
            PLUMSTED - The annual Fall Harvest Festival will be held on Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on portions of Main Street and Evergreen Road. Main Street's fall festival will provide family fun and entertainment for all ages with no admission fee and all rides for children are free.

      Association for the Blind seeks driver volunteers
            The Monmouth County Association for the Blind is seeking driver volunteers in the Jackson area on an as-needed basis. Volunteers will assist members in getting to their dinner meetings in Wall Township and back home. The meetings are held the second Monday of every month from 6-8 p.m. Volunteers are invited to stay for dinner.

      Vendors sought for craft and vendor fair at school
            The Howard C. Johnson Elementary School PTO is seeking vendors for its holiday craft and vendor fair to be held Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school, 1021 Larsen Road, Jackson.       Children's concert at Jackson library
            The Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, will present a concert with Alex & The Kaleidoscope Band, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. The program is geared toward ages 3 and up and includes singing along to original music.       Howell Township slates Rockefeller Center trip
            Howell Township is planning a bus trip to Rockefeller Center Dec. 8, 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a day of shopping or sightseeing on Fifth Avenue and a visit to the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.             Howell Township Cultural Arts will present the following free winter concerts at 3 p.m. Maggie Worsdale - A Christmas Carol at will be presented at the Howell library, 318 Old Tavern Road, Nov. 18.
