      Parents are just seeking equal treatment
            This is in response to the letter "Lessons Learned On the Community's Soccer Field" (Tri-Town News, Oct. 25). First, I would like to say that the security guard who responded to the issue with the field should have just told the other team that the Challenger team had the permit for the field and that they needed to leave.

      Bills would tamper with fish, wildlife council
            Legislative bills A-3275 and S-2041 exemplify the worst kind of bad legislation. These bills are designed to destroy the New Jersey Fish and Game Council. The bills would exclude knowledgeable fish and wildlife experts and sportspersons from the council and replace them with political appointees.

      Critical need exists in this area for donations to the FoodBank
            The 2007 holiday hunger food drive is the current hunger relief effort by the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties being conducted now through Nov. 12. The organization is hoping to promote the food drive through most area schools, soliciting food donations and monetary contributions.

      New Jersey residents urged to voice opposition to home sale tax raise
            The Monmouth County Association of Realtors opposes the bills (A- 3190/S-2643, A-3341, A-3387 and S-2080) before the state Legislature that would increase the New Jersey home sales tax or realty transfer fee. These proposed bills would allow local municipalities to charge a tax in addition to the taxes currently collected by the state.
