            ADec. 11 impromptu township meeting was held to address the gypsy moth problem. I went because I was dismayed at the defoliation of our town and with having to hear the raining sound of gypsy moth defecation last spring and summer.

            In response to a recent story about Jackson Mayor Mark Seda and his absence from his third consecutive random drug test, some questions immediately jumped into my mind. First, the mayor's excuse is that he was leaving (town hall) as the people from the testing company were walking in. Is there anyone that was present that can corroborate this assertion?

      Current property-tax system favors the wealthy
            In a recent conversation with a New Jersey senator, one reason given as to why eliminating the property tax and replacing it with an income tax cannot be done is that it could be construed or actually become class warfare. The concern is that the so-called rich would be unfairly targeted to pay more taxes than their fair share for no other reason than that they are rich.
